TESDA Scholarship Program for 2024-2025 Now Open

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is now accepting applications for its 2024-2025 scholarship program. Eligible individuals, including OFWs, can submit their applications via the TESDA portal.

TESDA is dedicated to expanding participation in technical and vocational education by offering scholarships and other financial assistance. To apply, interested candidates need to complete the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) form.

Overview of TESDA Scholarships

TESDA CEO Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong announced increased funding for provincial, municipal, and district grants during the national registration and training days on February 27 and 28. These events will occur simultaneously nationwide in various locations such as LGUs, sports complexes, shopping malls, and more.

Mamondiong highlighted the event’s goal to showcase the different TESDA programs available to the public. The event will be conducted in partnership with LGUs, PESO, DOLE regional/provincial offices, enterprises/industries, and technical and vocational education institutions (TVIs).

Types of TESDA Scholarships

TESDA offers several scholarship programs, including:

1. The Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP)
2. The Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA)
3. The Special Training for Employment Program (STEP)

These scholarships aim to provide Filipinos with the skills needed for high-demand jobs both domestically and internationally. TESDA’s grant programs also allow access to many free courses to help Filipinos obtain their first VET education more easily.

Application and Requirements

All Filipino students are eligible to apply for the TESDA Scholars Program. International students looking for scholarships to study abroad can also explore available options. 2. **Select the TESDA Training Program:**
– Choose the current region and the preferred school from the TESDA-approved list.
– Select the desired technical course and enter the applicant’s family name and unique identifier.

3. **Wait for Feedback:**
– Check email regularly for updates from the TESDA Scholarship Office regarding training schedules and locations.

TESDA also offers 40 free online courses and 5 free foreign language courses through the TESDA Language Proficiency Institute (LSI). From 2010 to the second quarter of 2020, over 10.5 million people completed TESDA’s vocational training programs, with a 64.4% employment rate among graduates.
